The organization has actively promoted legislation that would create education savings accounts (ESAs), which allow families to determine how and where public school money is spent on their students, in Louisiana

Rep. Julie Emerson, R-Carencro, and Sen. Rick Edmonds, R-Baton Rouge, have proposed the Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) scholarship program. It would create ESAs for families to use for costs ranging from school supplies and uniforms to computers and software. Read more.
