Montana Republican Party hires Debbie Churchill as new GOP executive director

Debbie Churchill has been selected as the next executive director for the Montana Republican Party.

She replaces former party executive director Andrew Pierce, who held the position for about a year. Churchill is a fifth-generation Montanan from a ranching family south of Chinook. A graduate of the University of Montana school of law, Churchill is a retired real estate planning attorney.

She’s volunteered since 2019 for the state Republican Party and was the state party’s first Grassroots Director, a press release from the Montana Republicans said.

“This party isn’t built in Helena. It’s built in county central committee meetings and at kitchen tables from Chinook to Miles City,” Churchill said. “My job is to make sure every one of those Republican volunteers has what they need to win.”

She currently is also involved with the Jefferson County Republican Central Committee.

“Debbie has spent years building the MTGOP from the grassroots up, and she knows this party county by county,” Montana Republican Party Chairman Art Wittich said. “Her leadership, organizational experience, and commitment to Montana Republicans make her the right person to lead our staff into the general election.”
