At least 25 communities across Alaska held rallies for No Kings day, from Southeast Alaska to the Arctic. In Nome, about two dozen protesters rallied under the historic Burled Arch marking the end of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. "I protested today for a bunch of reasons," said Hannah Anderson, a participant and 50-year resident of Nome. "I'm sick of this administration lying about anything they don't agree with, and seeing people detained without apparent cause."
No Kings protest organizers in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota, estimated more than 3,000 people participated in the event, while a counter protest a block away drew about 30 people. There were additional No Kings protests in eight more South Dakota cities.
Elaine Ravich was among more than 10,000 people who took part in a No Kings rally and concert in New Orleans. “I am part of the Greatest Generation. We fought in the 1940s, and there are not too many of my generation alive," she said. "I am representing every single one of them that was here, and we were fighting again for our children, grandchildren and generations to come, and we will not allow this to happen.” (Photo by Jason Kerzinski/Louisiana Illuminator)
Inflatables are the name of the game in Austin today, as thousands of protesters rally at the Texas state capitol and march through the streets. Or in this case, as shown in a Bluesky post from Jared Price, dancing.

Dan and Samantha Gray of Estacada, Oregon are first time protestors at the Portland ICE facility. They came, in matching homemade frog hats Samantha crocheted, after going to No Kings marches in Sandy and Estacada. “We saw all the videos,“ Samantha said of the ICE facility protests. “We wanted to be part of it.” The two protest for about an hour every Saturday in downtown Estacada, they said, with a group of friends opposed to the Trump administration.
In Hawaii, which has a long history of kings, many of the protests are using the slogan "No Dictators" instead. Crowds of people line a street in Hilo, as shown in a Bluesky post from Jason Kuznicki.

Lexi Pratt, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, brought her daughter to the No Kings Protest in downtown Sioux Falls, saying that she "could not, in good conscious, be a good parent" without standing up when she sees something wrong.
She's concerned about women's health care and the Trump administration's "attack on our public education."
"The Trump administration is violating all the checks and balances that our country was founded on to ensure that we all have the same rights," Pratt said.
From Andrew Kennard: “No Kings” protesters by the Brown County Courthouse in downtown Green Bay sang advice for interacting with law enforcement, including “Ask if you’re free to go, ask for a lawyer, protect yourself and neighbors and record, record, record.”
