Trump unveils endorsements in two NV House races

As a rule, a Trump endorsement in a Republican primary means the primary is over.

If that still holds, even as approval ratings of the man and his policies have tanked, state Sen. Carrie Buck will be the Republican trying to win Nevada’s first congressional district in November, and video game soundtrack composer Marty O’Donnell will be the Republican trying to unseat a Democrat in Nevada’s third congressional district. 

In posts on his social media platform Tuesday, Trump announced his trademark “Complete and Total Endorsement” of both Buck and O’Donnell.

CD1 is currently held by Rep. Dina Titus, and CD3 by Rep. Susie Lee. Both face primary challenges of their own.

Other Republican candidates in CD1 include a man who wants to appear on the ballot as Rick “Indicted” Saga, presumably because last year he was indicted for allegedly embezzling more than $2 million of federal grant money. 

In CD3, Republican would-be members of Congress failing to receive Trump’s imprimatur include (included?) former Trump-appointed ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter, physician Aury Nagy, and businesswoman Tera Anderson.

Nevada’s primary is June 9.
