Tim Lambert is a forward-thinking, veteran journalist at the Pennsylvania Capital-Star. A life-long Pennsylvanian, he has spent his entire career bringing the stories of people and communities across the commonwealth to life. His work has appeared regionally, statewide, and nationally in outlets ranging from daily newspapers to NPR. He has earned seven individual Radio Television Digital News Association Edward R. Murrow Awards and led his public radio newsroom to nine other National Murrows. His team was part of a collaboration that earned a 2012 duPont-Columbia Silver Baton for coverage of the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania. Embracing innovation and collaborative efforts, he implemented a nationally-recognized election accountability policy in 2021, Trusting News strategies to improve transparency, and Democracy SOS strategies to focus election coverage on voters. One of his core beliefs is that journalists need to meet their audience where it is.
