New websites announced for Idaho’s seven judicial districts

Idaho’s judicial districts announced new websites Tuesday for the public to engage with local court services in more streamlined, accessible ways.

The new sites come in an effort to “modernize how court information is presented” across the state’s seven district courts, according to a press release.

The sites put together information from the different districts in portals where each specific set of local rules, services or court leadership structures may be accessed.

“Whether you are searching for a courthouse or have questions about local court services, we know Idahoans need straightforward information about their courts,” Alayne Bean, trial court administrator for Idaho’s Seventh Judicial District, said in the release. “These sites are an example of how we continually work to provide a more clear, accessible court experience.”

Features in the new district websites include plain-language explanations of court information, improved navigation, mobile-friendly layouts, self-help tools and a list of frequently requested resources.

The websites are in addition to other recent transparency improvements from the state’s judicial branch. Kiosks at each of Idaho’s 44 county courthouses have now been equipped with at least one computer that allows the public to access case information and records from across state courts, the Idaho Capital Sun previously reported.

Court records from across Idaho can also be accessed at the Idaho Supreme Court building in Boise.
