In addition to high profile races for governor and U.S. Congress, all 186 seats in the Maine Legislature are on the ballot in the Nov. 3 election.

Last session, Democrats had a slim majority in both chambers but that could easily shift. With 20 incumbents running in the Senate and 96 in the House of Representatives, there are 70 open seats this year, which raises the possibility of another party gaining control.

Check the maps below to see who is running in your district. Also, with early voting underway, be sure to consult Maine Morning Star’s 2026 Election Voter Guide for information on key dates, how to register and vote early, and where candidates for governor and U.S. Congress stand on the major issues facing the state.
