Usually each week, I receive at least one unsolicited column submission from Oklahomans who want to weigh in on state policy. At Oklahoma Voice, we welcome guest commentary on issues related to state politics. 

Some Oklahomans bring years of experience writing opinion pieces, but for others, it might be one of their first times submitting a piece to a professional publication. As an editor, it’s really rewarding to help some of these budding writers grow. In return, they’re providing original viewpoints about our state that you won’t find anywhere else. And, their pieces are available to be republished across Oklahoma and beyond.

One of my goals in 2025 is to be able to pay some of the regular guest columnists so that they can write more frequently on topics that Oklahomans care about.

But to do that, it takes financial support from our readers.
