Let’s call the Calcasieu Pass 2 terminal what it is: another toxic threat to Louisiana’s people and environment.
As a native of New Orleans and an advocate for environmental justice, I’m deeply concerned about the impact this project will have on our communities. Fishers and residents are right to fight back.
As a person that worked and studied marine biology for three years at Nicholls State University, I know this LNG terminal will only add more pollution, devastating the health and livelihoods of those already hit hardest by fossil fuel expansion.
… And yet, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission keeps rubber-stamping these projects.
It’s time to stop treating these communities like sacrifice zones for a fossil fuel industry that’s only interested in profit.
