Montevallo to offer transfer process for BSC students

The University of Montevallo will offer a transfer process for Birmingham-Southern College students after the  liberal arts school announced its intention to close on Tuesday.

The University of Montevallo wrote in a Tuesday statement that they would have admissions counselors and scholarships for BSC students.

“Our university family shares in the sadness of losing a long-lived, venerable institution. I have met so many accomplished professionals from Birmingham-Southern over the years and have always been impressed with the pride that their constituents have felt for their institution,” said John W. Stewart, the president of the University of Montevallo, in a statement. “We share a common passion for teaching and learning in the humanities and stand ready to make it as easy as possible for Birmingham-Southern students to continue their educational journey.”
