The Idaho Department of Labor urges teens and young adults to attend a summer job fair Saturday that will include employers from Boise and Meridian.

The job fair runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Galaxy Event Center at Wahooz Family Fun Zone, 1385 S. Blue Marlin Lane in Meridian. The event is free and open to people 16 and older.

Employers want to fill summer jobs for lifeguards, mechanics, welders, veterinary techs, swim instructors, youth camp leaders, personal trainers, cashiers, cooks, child care workers and more.

Employers scheduled to be there include the Treasure Valley YMCA, Bogus Basin Ski Resort, the Boise Co-op, Roaring Springs and Wahooz, New Horizon Academy, Intermountain Pet Hospital, Crunch Fitness and more, according to a press release issued by the Idaho Department of Labor.

Idaho Department of Labor employees also provide free help with resume preparation. Anyone interested in help with a resume before the summer-job fair may visit the Idaho Department of Labor’s Boise office at 317 W. Main St. this week. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

More information about Saturday’s event is available on the Idaho Department of Labor’s website.
