Habitat for Humanity offers to build ramps for low-income Treasure Valley homeowners

The Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity is launching a new initiative to provide free ramps for local homeowners.
As a part of its Critical Home Repairs program, the organization aims to build 10 ramps for low-income homeowners in Ada and Canyon counties between March 1 and April 1. The Critical Home Repairs program aims to prevent falls, increase mobility and improve quality of life, particularly for older individuals, veterans and people with disabilities.
“These ramps will make a real difference in the daily lives of homeowners who struggle with mobility,” Critical Home Repairs Program Manager Jake Crist said in a press release. “We want to ensure that everyone, regardless of financial means, has safe access to their homes.”
Qualified applicants must own and live in a home and their household income must be at or below 80% of the area median income for their county.
