Three Democratic-NPL presidential primary voting locations will be open this Friday and Saturday in Bismarck, Fargo and Grand Forks.

In a news release, the Dem-NPL party said because of an influx of resources and volunteers, the three polling locations will be open on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 8-11 a.m.

Initially, the Dem-NPL announced it would conduct its presidential primary via mail-in ballot, but later added some in-person sites.

The locations are:

  • Gateway Fashion Mall — Rock’n 50’s Cafe Entrance, 2700 State St., Bismarck.
  • North Dakota Democratic-NPL office, 1325 23rd St S., Fargo.
  • Archives Coffee House, 3012 University Dr S., Grand Forks.

Voters must be a U.S. citizen; 18 years old by the Nov. 5 general election date; have a valid photo ID; and be a legal North Dakota resident with at least 30 days of residency.

Laura Dronen, spokesperson for the Dem-NPL Party, said more than 700 ballots have been cast in the party’s presidential primary so far and they expect more to be cast at the three voting locations over the next two days. She added the results of the Dem-NPL presidential primary will be posted to their website Saturday evening.

North Dakota will send 19 delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and the results of the presidential primary vote will determine the proportion of delegates each candidate will receive.

Voters can cast ballots for Joe Biden, Eban Cambridge, Stephen Lyons, Jason Palmer, Armando Perez-Serrato, Dean Phillips, Cenk Uygur and Marianne Williamson.

President Job Biden and former President Donald Trump have already clinched the required  number of delegates to secure their nominations from the Democratic Party and GOP for the 2024 election.
