The Indiana Chamber of Commerce announced that Ashton Eller will be the new vice president of health care policy and employment law following the retirement of Mike Ripley.

Eller has spent 14 years with the chamber, most recently as its manager of political affairs.

“After casting a wide net and interviewing several great candidates, it became apparent that the right person for the job was already part of our organization,” said Kevin Brinegar, the chamber’s president and CEO, in a statement. “Ashton is a true professional with a tireless work ethic who has a deep understanding of what we do and why we do it. What also sets him apart is his demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with both legislators and our member companies.”

Eller previously worked at the Indiana Department of Labor and served as president for the Indiana State Fair Board of Directors.

“I am thrilled to continue my career with the Indiana Chamber. I believe whole-heartedly in its mission to push for public policies and offer programs that help provide economic opportunity and prosperity for businesses and individuals,” Eller said in the release. “I look forward to the challenge of this new role and to start engaging with legislators in a different capacity.”
