• Virginia agents seized 89 living and 27 dead animals from the Natural Bridge Zoo in Rockbridge County. The zoo’s most well-known animal, an elephant named Asha, has repeatedly been discussed by legislators during debates on bills about animal-human contact.—Roanoke Times
